About
From ATX to TYO
Hi, I’m Jay.
I’m a systems engineer building distributed infrastructure. I’ve worked at CrowdStrike, EPAM Systems, and Rakuten across endpoint security, cloud consulting, and e-commerce platforms.
Originally from LA, I’ve lived in NYC (2010–2015), SF Bay Area (2015–2018), and Austin before moving to Tokyo in 2025. I hold an FAA Private Pilot License and Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107), and run ADS-B receivers across three sites.
The homelab became a global distributed system — multi-region Kubernetes, alternative data pipelines, and AI agent orchestration. Most of it built maxing Claude.
This site is a running notebook of real infrastructure experiments, failures, and design decisions, written clearly enough that both humans and machines can learn from them.
